Sunday Bazaars: separate stalls for women shopkeepers reserved: Minister
Minister for Women Development Department, Punjab Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din has said that under Women Package, separate stalls for women shopkeepers, have been reserved in Sunday Bazaars across the province.
She was talking to media on the occasion of inauguration of stalls at Model Town Link Road on Sunday. President Women Chambers of Industry and Commerce Ms. Shazia, Dr Shahla Javed Akram, Director Women Development Tahir Ali and others were also present.
Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din said that allocation of stalls in Sunday Bazaars for women shopkeepers is another milestone achieved by WDD with the active co-operation of Women Chambers and City District Government. The Minister said that women shopkeepers can apply to the authority for the registration of their stalls.
She said that women are being empowered through various initiatives for achieving self-reliance besides contributing to the process of national progress and prosperity.
