The matter of decentralisation of powers has caused issues between Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) led Sindh government. According to sources, Waseem Akhtar has decided to knock the court's door after the lack of co-operation from the government of Sindh.
The Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Pakistan leader has braced for a war in court as he is not being given enough powers by the provincial government. It was reported that Karachi mayor will file a case in court in the coming days after consulting with legal experts about the local body powers issue.
Mayor of Karachi Waseem Akhtar has also started to ask support from other political parties in Sindh on the matter of local government powers. He is expected to soon call an all parties conference for the matter.
