The Punjab Agriculture Department has asked the ginning factories across the province to eradicate larva of different pests in ginning waste by March 31, 2017. According the departmental sources, larva and other cotton pests were found in the ginning waste of some factories and owner of those factories have been warned to immediately destroy this waste or get ready for an action.
They said the owners of the ginning factories have been informed about the situation. The department has also imposed a ban on sowing cotton before April 15 to remove the apprehension of pest attacks.
