Khyber Medical University Peshawar signed a memorandum of understanding with Directorate of Health Services Fata, aiming at to create effective liaison between the academic and clinical interchange of Faculty, Human Resources for Health including health managers & other cadres, and students, and clinical, academic and research information between the two organizations.
The agreement was signed by Dr Zia Ul Haq, Associate Professor of Public Health & Director ORIC KMU and Dr Anisa LHW program, Health Directorate FATA and countersigned by Dr Muhammad Hafizullah VC KMU and Dr Jawad Habib Coordinator DHS FATA. The cooperation is expected to enhance the research & innovation skills, impart advanced data collection tools, data analysis and interpretation skills, provide practical means of learning through availability and access to factual issues of FATA health system and inculcate the process of informed decision making at all levels through utilization of research results.
The areas of potential collaboration between the parties would be medical education, staff/student trainings, research collaborations, exchange and visit of human resources (staff & faculty members) and access/linkage of FATA field surveillance system to recently announced Public Health Reference Lab (PHRL) at KMU.
