US Midwest corn, soyabean bids flat

Corn and soyabean spot basis bids around the US Midwest at processors and elevators on Thursday were generally unchanged as farmers tracked futures prices for both crops, said grain merchants. Chicago Board of Trade corn inched upward on short-covering, which later encouraged some farmers to withhold grain sales.
CBOT Soyabeans bowed to profit-taking and the firmer dollar, which increased sales among most producers. An Illinois corn processor and a soyabean crusher in Indiana raised bids to entice sellers that withheld grain in those areas.
