A 3-day 4th Hamdard International Conference 2017 on the theme: 'Medicine: Past, Present and Future' is scheduled from 9th to 11th January, 2017 at Bait al-Hikmah Auditorium, Madinat al-Hikmah, Karachi. The Conference jointly organised by Hamdard Foundation Pakistan, Higher Education Commission Pakistan, International Association for Unani Medicine, Pakistan Association for Eastern Medicine and Faculty of Eastern Medicine, Hamdard University.
The inaugural session of the conference will be held on 9th January 2017 at 9.30 pm. Mrs Sadia Rashid, President, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan and Chancellor, Hamdard University of Karachi will preside over the inaugural session while renowned scientist Professor Dr Atta-ur-Rehman, Patron-in-Chief, International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences, University of Karachi will deliver key-note address and Professor Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari, Chairman, Department of Biotechnology, Quaid-i-Azam University will address the session.
After inaugural session, the second session of the conference will be held on the subject of "Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said: Vision and Mission" with reference to Hakim Said's birthday - 9th January-children day in Pakistan. Besides young speakers, Professor Dr Rasheed Bheeka, President, Ibn Sina Institute of Tibb, South Africa and Professor Hakim Syed Zillur Rehman, President, Ibn-e-Sina Academy of Medieval Medicine & Sciences, Aligarh, India will also speak. National and international scholars, physicians and experts on health and medicine are expected to attend the conference.-PR
