Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) has won the 3rd National Women Weightlifting Championship here at Railway Stadium. Wapda secured 91 points in the championship with five gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal. Pakistan Railways stood second in the championship with 76 points, while Pakistan Army remained at third position by obtaining 50 points.
The women players of as many as eight teams exhibited their power in run for medals in different categories of the three-day championship. The teams included Wapda, Pakistan Railways, Pakistan Army, Islamabad, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh.
