Five people of a same family were died on Wednesday after drinking toxic alcohol in Peshawar. Amongst those who have died include three brothers and two cousins. According to police, deaths were reported in Swati Phatak area of Peshawar where five members of Christian community slept at their homes late night after drinking toxic liquor.
Four people identified as Nasir, Qaisar, Victor and Kamal died on the spot whereas another victim named Raja passed away at a hospital during treatment. The bodies were handed over to the victims after procedures. The victims' family demanded ban on sale of contaminated alcohol. Police said they were searching the people involved in the sale of toxic liquor and the matter is being investigated from various angles. It should be noted that at least 42 people died after drinking toxic liquor on Christmas Eve in Toba Tek Singh city of Punjab province.
