On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,068. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 2.66 billion and the number of lots traded was 6,951. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.13 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.12 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 291.91 million, silver PKR 94.72 million, copper PKR 15.73 million and Brent crude oil PKR 4.20 million. In addition to this, in agricultural commodities, 8 lot of cotton amounting to PKR 2.99 million was also traded.
