Soyameal on the European meals and feeds market was offered in a tight range in thin trade on Thursday as players wound down business ahead of the end of the year. "There was little going on as most players have closed their books until the New Year. Prices were mainly window dressing," one broker said.
South American soyameal was offered between $3 a tonne down and $2 up from Wednesday. CBOT soyameal futures were the main lead, with a weaker dollar somewhat supportive to cash prices. Buyers were hard to find and no trades were seen. EU rapemeal was quoted between 1 euro a tonne down and 1 euro higher, with the weaker dollar weighing on euro-priced products. Slightly stronger rapeseed futures on year-end positioning underpinned rapemeal. Bids were scarce and no business was reported.
