Namaz-e-Istasqa offered at Aiwan-e-Sadr

Nation-wide prayers (Namaz-e-Istasqa) were offered to seek blessings of Allah Almighty for rain to end the long dry spell. A Namaz-e-Istasqa was offered after the Zohr prayers at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad today which was led by President Mamnoon Hussain to seek Allah Almighty's blessings for rain in the country. The special Namaz-e-Istasqa was attended by a large number of people and senior officials of the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The President on Sunday had asked the Ulema and religious leaders to lead the prayers across the country and pray to the Almighty for a rain of blessings to end the drought. Lack of rain in the country has led to drop of water level in the reservoirs, underground water table and is having an adverse impact on the health of the people and agriculture sector. On the occasion, special prayers were also offered for progress, prosperity, development, security and peace in the country.
