Newly-elected body of SUOWA takes oath

The newly elected office-bearers of Sindh University Officers' Welfare Association (SUOWA) formally took oath at the swearing-in ceremony held in the Senate Hall of the Administration Block. The Election Chairman Muhammad Mashooque Siddiqui administered oath of the office from them.
The pro-vice chancellor of Sindh University Nausheroferoz campus Muhammad Nawaz Narejo was the chief guest of the ceremony. Addressing the ceremony, the PVC Muhammad Nawaz Narejo said that he always raised his strong voice for the legal rights of officers including that of promotions adding that being a member syndicate, he has been fighting the cases of varsity officers.
He said that the groupings among the officers could be before election but no alliances should be made after the election has been held successfully. "If you (officers) are united, no one can harm you. But if you parted ways by falling prey to groups, then you would be facing the difficulties on the campus", he maintained.
He said that the elected body could safeguards the rights of officers and succeed in getting genuine issues of officers resolved only if all the members backed it from shoulder to shoulder. He hoped that the university officers would serve the university, simultaneously the university administration will be doing justice with the officers as authority and power are entrusted by Allah which are to be asked by Him.
