On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,025. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.06 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,732. Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 1.13 billion, it was followed by gold PKR 916.12 million, WTI crude oil PKR 703.16 million, silver PKR 295.11 million, copper PKR 15.69 million and Brent crude oil PKR 2.11 million. In addition to this, in agricultural commodities, one lot of cotton amounting to PKR 0.370 million was also traded.
