Network of special X-mas bazaars setup: minister

On the directions of CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, a network of special Christmas bazaars had been setup across the province to ease the Christian community for the celebrations of happy Christmas and essential commodities are being provided on specially reduced rates near the door steps of Christian community.This was stated by Punjab Minister for Minorities & Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sindhu while visiting the special Christmas bazaars at Christian Town Eidghah road, Pinto Ground Waispura and other areas.
DCO Salman Ghani, ACs City and Saddar Bilawal Abro, Meer Muhammad Nawaz Bharwana, TMO Mian Nadeem Anwar, other officers, members of City Councils and large number of people from Christian community were also present on the occasion. Minister Minorities took a round of special Christmas bazaars and inspected the quality and prices of essential commodities. He interacted with the consumers and enquired from them about the benefits and arrangements of Christmas bazaars. He visited the stalls of vegetables, fruits, flour, sugar, ghee and grocery items and directed the management of bazaars for uninterrupted supply of the essential commodities and asked them to ensure the best quality of fruits, vegetables and food items.
He said that CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is taking keen interest on the welfare and betterment of minorities and different programmes were being conducting for the participating in the happy X-mass events to show the national solidarity. He said that financial assistance of Rs 30 million was being distributed among the deserving Christian families of the province on the special instruction of CM Punjab. The Minister informed that stringent security arrangements had been made on the eve of Christmas for the protection of churches while security had also been put on high alert in the public parks and recreational points in order to peaceful observance of Christmas.
He appreciated the efforts of DCO Salman Ghani and his team for successful holding of Christmas bazaars. Talking to the media Provincial Minister said that Christmas bazaars had been provided quality products to the consumers at prices comparatively less from routine rates.
He said foolproof security has been made at these bazaars. Minister said efficacious plan in order to secure the public place, churches and all places likely to harbour gathering at Christmas Eve. DCO informed the Minister that seven special Christmas bazaars were working in the districts which were being supervised by the duty officers to ensure the uninterrupted supply of essential items.
