Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said that Christmas gives the message of love, peace and religious harmony so that enemy can be defeated by promoting the sense of brotherhood without any discrimination of religion, creed and color. There is a need to change collective thinking and adopt positive attitude as we are all equal as per the constitution of Pakistan.
He stated this while speaking as Chief Guest in a ceremony regarding Christmas organised by a private educational institute (Unique Group of Institutes) here on Sunday. The minister along with the guests and Christian community also cut the Christmas cake on this occasion whereas Christmas gift were distributed among the participants of the ceremony.
Khalil Tahir Sandhu while congratulating the Christian community on the forthcoming Christmas Eve said that the birth of Jesus Christ reminds us his message of brotherhood and tolerance so as to bring peace and harmony for each other.
He said that a heavy responsibility lies on us to play our due role for national progress as Quaid-e-Azam (RA) in his speech on August 11, 1947 had said that Pakistan was created on the manifesto of equality for each and every citizen of the country where everyone has the freedom of speech and worship as one nation.
