Pakistan People's Party (PPP) on Saturday convened a high-level meeting of party leadership in Dubai. In this regard former president Asif Ali Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and MNA Faryal Talplur are reportedly present in Dubai.
The meeting is expected to discuss a range of issues including the return of Zardari to Pakistan, and the upcoming death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto on December 27. The political situation in the country as the PPP seems to take a more aggressive tone towards the government and has made four demands to be met by December 27. Bilawal has already threatened to launch a movement against the government if the demands are not met by the impending deadline and would announce his future political strategy.
This includes the passing of the Panama Papers Inquiry Bill in parliament, reconstituting the parliamentary committee on national security, implementing the party's recommendation on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and immediately appointing a foreign minister.
