Pak China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) is striving to give boost to the information technology in collaboration with the Chinese organisations. The PCJCCI president Wang Zihai on Friday stated this while talking to a three member Chinese delegation from BODA software solutions, Sichuan, China. Qiu Ziynn led the delegation comprising of Dr Ahsanullah Awan and Xinchao.
The delegation visited the chamber in-line with the Chinese government's objective to enhance trade ties with neighbourly countries particularly Pakistan besides strengthening bilateral co-operation and trade between the IT sectors of the two countries. Wang Zihai briefed the delegation about the opportunities available in IT sector of Pakistan. The delegation also discussed the Chinese interest in outsourcing IT work to Pakistani companies.
The PCJCCI chief also briefed the delegation about the Pakistani IT and software industry and said that there were over 2000 IT companies developing high end, enterprise grade software solutions for world's largest and premier companies in Pakistan. Pakistani IT companies regularly win awards at international IT events. Both Pakistan and China have to move forward in developing an e-corridor for greater connectivity to enhance the importance of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project, he added. The delegation head Qiu Ziynn said the CPEC is currently focusing on infrastructure development and energy generation. However the scope of CPEC would be extended in other fields like science and information technology.
