E-ticket facility provided to people of Baluchistan

Pakistan Railways (PR) has provided E-ticket booking facility to people of Baluchistan and Quetta on Akbar Express, Jaffer Express and Bolan Mail. People can book their seats on these trains by visiting pakrail.gov.pk from their home or smart phones, said a spokesman of the Railways here on Friday. He said that this facility has been provided on special directives of Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique and people can book their seats one month in advance on trains to and from Quetta.
Meanwhile a 3-member delegation of the Asian Development Bank visited the Pakistan Railways headquarters and held a consultative session with the technical committee of the organisation led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Railways Muhammad Javed Anwer. The meeting prepared a basic framework of strategic planning for the Pakistan Railways till 2040.
The ADB mission expressed the desire of the ADB to play a pivotal role in progress and improvement of Pakistan Railways. The meeting was attended by the Advisor Pakistan Railways Anjum Pervez, CPEC Team Leader Muhammad Ashfaq Khattak, Additional General Manager Traffic Maqsud ul Nabi and other high-ups.
