12 killed in fog-related accidents across Punjab

Twelve people were killed and several others injured in fog related road mishaps in different areas of Punjab on Sunday. Six people of same family were killed when their car plunged into a canal on Shujaabad road near Multan due to dense fog. The bodies were taken out immediately after the rescue agencies reached the spot.
In another incident, a tractor trolley hit a motorcycle in Vehari, killing two persons on the spot.
Two brothers were crushed to death by a dumper on Sargodha Road near Sillanwali. Four passengers were injured in collision between a bus and tractor trolley in Narowal.
On the other hand, motorway was reopened after overnight closure due to fog. According to Met Office, foggy conditions are likely to continue over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during night and morning hours.
