On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,051. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.60 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,907. Major business was contributed by crude oil PKR 1.50 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.08 billion currencies through COTS PKR 952.48 million, silver PKR 52.87 million, copper PKR 11.50 million and cotton PKR 1.49million. In addition to this, in agricultural commodities 1,490 lots of Paddy Super Basmati Rice amounting to PKR 61,649 were also traded.
