France seeks expansion of economic ties with Pakistan, says diplomat
Consul General of France Francois Dall Orso has said that France would like to expand its trade and economic relations with Pakistan. Speaking at a meeting of Pakistan Chemicals and Dyes Merchant Association (PCDMA) he invited members of the association to visit France to explore business opportunities to boosting two-way trade.
He agreed to the idea of PCDMA Chairman Nasiruddin Fateh Kukda to enhance exchanges of business delegations of the two countries and provide all possible assistance in this regard. French Consul General emphasized the need of efforts towards improving the image of Pakistan in the eyes of the world to attract French business community to visit Pakistan. He said that French businessmen were reluctant to visit Pakistan but he assured he would definitely make personal efforts to bring business community of both the countries closer.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman PCDMA Nasiruddin Fateh Kukda said that France and Pakistan shared cordial relations historically and their bilateral relations were also based on military, defense, cultural and educational cooperation alongside economic ties.
He said that in order to improve bilateral trade, long-lasting concrete efforts from both the government should be made including the exchange of frequent trade delegations.
Vice chairman Suhail Ashraf Vohra, Arif Kapoor I.P. chairman, Chaudhary Naseer, ex-chairman, Arif Balgamwala and other members of the Executive Committee were also present at the meeting.
