Canada's main stock index fell on Monday as railroad, energy and financial names lost ground, offsetting gains for the materials group as base and precious metals prices rose. At 10:53 am EST (1553 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index fell 27.2 points, or 0.18 percent, to 15,048.24. Last week, the index advanced 1.4 percent, extending its rally since the US election.
