34 probationary officers visit civil secretariat

A 34-member delegation of the Pakistan administrative service's probationary officers participating in 39th specialised training programme of National School of Public Policy visited the civil secretariat on Monday. Director Staff Dr Muhammad Afzal headed the delegation which was given detailed briefings regarding progress in attaining sustainable development goals in the province of Punjab along with the improvement of social sector facilities in Punjab.
Additional Chief Secretary Punjab Shamail Ahmad Khawaja while addressing the probationary officers termed the new institutional framework adopted in Punjab a key factor in unprecedented progress and prosperity of the province. The Additional Chief Secretary disclosed that the Punjab government has shifted its focus to the development of social sector. Saaf Pani Mega Project is the most prominent project in this regard as Rs 27 billion have been allocated for the installation of reverse osmosis water filtration plants during the current fiscal year while 1500 RO plants will be installed throughout the province till 2018 with the result that each and every citizen of the Punjab will be provided with filtered water free of cost after only two years.
