Pakistan Festival concludes in Colombo

Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka organised three-day highly colourful Pakistan Food, Shopping and Cultural Festival with a Painting & Photographic Exhibition which began on Sunday at the Waters Edge Hotel and concluded on Monday. The festival was jointly opened by Sri Lankan Minister for Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr Rajitha Senaratne and High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka Major General Syed Shakeel Hussain (R).
The primary aim to organise the festival was to showcase best of the best Pakistan's rich cultural cuisine and other traditions to the friendly people of Sri Lanka. The Festival offered Pakistani delicacies by prominent chefs, traditional musical performances and paintings and photographic depictions by renowned Pakistani artists. The visitors showed keen interest to shop Pakistani products including home textiles, footwear, garments and apparel, handicrafts, traditional food, rice, fashion wear etc.
