New Sindh governor's appointment challenged in IHC

Appointment of former Justice Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqi as Sindh Governor has been challenged in Islamabad High Court. A citizen, Shahid Orakzai filed the application challenging the appointment. He submitted that a former Chief Justice can not become member of the National Assembly as laid down in the constitution and as such he cannot be appointed as Governor. The petitioner said the appointment of Sindh Governor was against the law and constitution. The applicant has made Governor Sindh and Law Ministry as party to the case.
