At the conclusion of the second round in the four rounds 44th Harley Willington Pakistan Open Golf Championship in progress at the Airmen Golf Course, the champion in command is M. Nazir of Islamabad Golf Club with a two rounds aggregate score of 139, five under par.
In the first round, M. Nazir carded a round of gross 70 and was placed one stroke behind the joint leaders M. Shabbir and his brother M.Munir and in the second round he added to his excellence and came up with a spectacular round of gross 69, which gives him a two days score of 139 and by virtue of this tremendous effort ,he occupies the top position on the leader board edging past M. Munir who now lies in second position, with a two days aggregate score of 140, and though they are brothers ,they are professional golfers of standing and the battle is going to be fierce and thrilling with each one determined to outdo the other.
Another competitor who looks fearsome is Waheed Baloch of Bank Al Habib and he is placed at a two rounds score of 141, three under par. In the course of the second round, M. Nazir ended up dominating the proceedings and pursued his hold on the championship by scoring birdies on holes 3, 9 and 16.Another significant feature of his performance is that he had a bogie free round on the first day and again the unwanted bogie touch was avoided.
