The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) in collaboration with the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI) has organised a training workshop on social media marketing to mark 'Global Entrepreneurship Week' on Thursday.
SMEDA's General Manager Outreach Division Muhammad Alamgir Chaudhry was the chief guest of the workshop which was addressed by WCCI President Shazia Suleman, WCCI former president Qaisra Sheikh and In-charge Women Entrepreneurship Development Cell Tania Buttar.
Speaking on the occasion, Alamgir Chaudhry apprised the participants about business development services available in SMEDA for new and existing SMEs. The SMEDA is already engaged with developing common facility centres across the country for strengthening the various SME clusters including agro-food processing centre, Multan, Sports Industry Development Centre, Sialkot, and Red Chilies Processing Centre, Kunri, which had been completed and begun operation successfully, he added.
Social media marketing expert Areeb Masood gave a detailed presentation on various techniques to be used in the world for marketing of SME-based product on social media and said the techniques could be highly beneficial for women entrepreneurs to develop their businesses both in national and international market.
