On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,968. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.30 billion and the number of lots traded was 16,895. Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 2.27 billion, followed by crude oil PKR 1.60 billion, gold PKR 1.33 billion, silver PKR 73.43 million, copper PKR 12.43 million and cotton PKR 7.67 million.
