Southern zone of Pakistan Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) will be established in Multan to resolve the problems confronted by traders of Southern Punjab. United Business Group would again emerge as a winner in FPCCI annual elections under the leadership of Iftikhar Malik and Mian Tanvir A Sheikh,said Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi President of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) while addressing the representatives of recognised trade association and chambers of commerce & Industry of South Punjab.
Ata Bajwa, Masud Malik, Manzoor Malik, Haji Ata-ur rehman, and Masooma Sibtain also joined them who were nominated by UBG for the seats of Vice Presidents. Roomi was optimistic that UBG would get overwhelming majority incoming elections of FPCCI. JU roomi stressed the need for focusing the south Punjab and women because both were neglected during last six decades and sense of deprivation developed in this area.
He further said that federation would have to come forward to meet the future challenges faced by the business community. The participants pledged to do work unitedly on Policy framework.
They also gratitude the Mian Tanvir A Sheikh on the nomination of Vice presidents from South Punjab. They were unanimous to make Multan a focal point for CPEC project and it was decided that a committee on this issue would be formed in a consultative meeting to be convened very soon.
The meeting was also addressed by Syed Muhammad Aasim Shah, Khawaja Muhammad Yousaf, Chairman of APBUMA Khawaja Muhammad Younas, PCGA's Haji Muhammad Akram,Nawab Shehzad Ali Khan, President of Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WCCI) Multan Mrs Nasim Rahim, Chairman of All Pakistan Oil Mills Association Khawaja Muhammad Fazil, PCPA's Saud Majeed, Syed Aasim Shah, Farid Mughis Sheikh, Bakhtawar Tanvir Sheikh, Mian Ata Shafi Tanvir, Khawaja Muhammad Usman, Dr Shafiq and Malik Asrar Ahmed Awan.
