An award distribution ceremony was held at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police School of Intelligence, Abbottabad on Friday. Inayatullah Khan, Senior Minister Local Government & Rural Development and Chairman of Police Reforms Committee Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was chief guest of the ceremony which was also attended by, DIG Hazara Region, Saeed Khan Wazir, District Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Abdur Razak Abbasi, DPO Abbottabad Dr Khurram Rasheed, Naib Tehsil Nazim, Sardar Shujah Ahmad, faculty members of Police School of Intelligence, and graduates of the intelligence course.
Addressing the participants, Inayatullah thanked the administration for inviting him to the ceremony. He applauded the recent improvements and up-gradation in KP police and hailed Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and IGP Nasir Khan Durrani`s role in this regard.
"You are well aware of the importance of intelligence in the present scenario. It is of utmost importance to counter crimes and terrorists in the prevailing circumstances," he said. "You need not only work hard but work smart, through which your endeavors will prove fruitful. The present era is of smart work and not only hard work," he further said.
He also quoted the military campaigns of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) in showcasing the importance of smart work and said that our Prophet used to utilize intelligence before undertaking any campaign or waging war, and intelligence and smart work always gave him an edge over his adversaries because such a course always enabled him to formulate a better combat strategy based on combat intelligence, and execute it effectively. Later, the Minister distributed certificates among the graduates of the intelligence course that lasted from 2-4 weeks and different cadres of police officials completed their training. KP Police School of Intelligence was inaugurated on 3rd October, 2014 to bolster the policing service of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
