Wajahat S. Khan has been writing opinions in the foreign press where he has shown himself to be a former fellow of Transparency International in Pakistan. This is a false statement by him as Transparency International Pakistan(TIP) has neither made Wajahat S. Khan a fellow, nor any one else. He is portraying himself a fellow of a credible organisation, Transparency International Pakistan (TIP) for the foreign media to consider him to be a credible entity so that his articled may be published.
Many institutions namely Prime Minister, Supreme Court of Pakistan, National Accountability Bureau, Public Accounts Committee and other Public organisations invariably take notice of Transparency International Pakistan's communications regarding corruption issues and initiate inquires.
Supreme Court of Pakistan has taken over several suo motu action on TI Pakistan's communication, few of them are NICL, PIA, Lawyers Illegal Fees from EOIB, Illegal allotment of hundreds of thousand Land in Sindh. PM Secretariat and National Accountability Bureau have also taken actions on hundreds of corruption issues pointed out by TIP.
Khan has illegally and falsely associated himself as a fellow Transparency International in Pakistan (TIP) which is a blatant lie. The allegations in his articles are inaccurate, malicious and false. He has been forwarding these allegations to Transparency International Secretariat, Berlin and all donors working in Pakistan since the last three years, and all of his allegations have been rejected by the donors.
In the report to the US Congress, the Office of Inspector General USAID 2016 has stated that due to the Anti-Fraud Hotline Project operated by TI Pakistan, there has been a savings & recoveries of $123.4 million during the past 6 years.
