Vice President Shell co meets Shahbaz

Asida Harnsuit Vice President International Company Shell for South Asia, met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Thursday and expressed interest in enhancing investment in Pakistan, especially the Punjab. Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan has achieved numerous successes in every sector during the last three and a half years. 'Pakistan has become a peaceful country and the confidence of investors has restored', he added.
He said that under transparent policy of the present government, investors are investing in different sectors and various international companies are working on different projects. He said that CPEC has expanded new opportunities of investment. He said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a game changer and its completion will leave a far-reaching impact on the progress of not only Pakistan but the entire region. He termed expression of interest by Shell Company in benefiting from new opportunities of investment as a good omen.
He said that transparency and merit are hallmark of Punjab government and this policy has been adopted in all the projects. Vice President Shell Company Asada Harnsuit said that law and order situation has substantially improved during the tenure of the present government, as a result of which, confidence of investors has restored and a large number of investment opportunities have also become available.
He said that a large-scale investment is being made in different sectors under CPEC and investors are benefiting from investment opportunities. He said that Shell Company is interested in enhancing investment in Pakistan, especially Punjab. Provincial Minister for Minerals Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan, Chief Secretary, Chief Executive Officer Punjab Investment Board and concerned officials attended the meeting.
