KP Police launch City Petrol Force for Peshawar

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has said that "City Petrol Force" equipped with all latest facilities will prove as a mile stone to serve as a "First Responders" force to meet any sort of crime and emergency situation.
This he said while addressing the inaugural ceremony of city patrol force held at Malak Saad Shaheed police lines Peshawar on Thursday. Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak was the chief guest on this occasion. Provincial Ministers, Member Provincial Assembly, Chief Secretary KPK, Secretary Home and Tribal Affairs department Additional IGPs, DIGs and other high ranking civil and police officers largely attended the function.
The IGP pointed out that "First responders" concept in any incident and emergency particularly in urban cities was in practice in all over the world where the police reached to the spot in shortest possible time. He informed that initially it is being started in Peshawar city and Peshawar Cantonment and later on keeping in view its performance would be extended to other districts of the province. The basic motto of the city petrol force is triple "S" ie Safety, Security and Service. The IGP informed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police are being equipped with latest modern facilities. Approximately the whole police record that 1.7 million data had been computerized which also included 1.2 million FIRs of last 6 years.
