Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Donald Trump for being elected as 45th president of the United States of America. While talking to a private television channel, the Advisor also hoped that the newly elected president would play his part in resolving the disputed issue of Kashmir.
Sartaj Aziz also let it be known that full co-ordination would continue with the new US government. He also expressed that all the efforts would be made to enhance economic ties with the United States of America. "We will strive to make strategic dialogue more effective with US," revealed Sartaj Aziz.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister's Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi has expressed confidence that the Pakistan-US ties will further strengthen under the new administration in Washington. In an interview with state-run Pakistan Television Wednesday, the Special Assistant said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has extended felicitations to the newly elected US President Donald Trump, and expressed desire to further improve bilateral relationship, and work in co-ordination with the US leadership on regional and global issues.
