The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PPDWP) approved the development scheme of energy sector with an estimated cost of Rs 165 million. The schemes were approved in the 28th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of the current fiscal year 2016-17 presided by Punjab Chairman P&D Board, Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning & Development Board, provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting. According to spokesman for the P&DD, the approved development scheme included updating of feasibility study, preparation of PC-I, management of bidding process on EPC mode and construction supervision of 15-20 MW Biomass Thermal Power project near Chak Jhumra, Faisalabad (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 165 million.
