Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) took renowned Shia scholar Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain into custody from his house in Nazimabad at midnight between Sunday and Saturday. Hussain, Chief of all Pakistan Shia Action Committee a prominent Shia Muslim, is a resident of a house near Jamey Masjid Noor-e-Eeman where he is Friday prayer leader.
The LEA's personnel arrived there, took him with them and shifted him to an undisclosed location for interrogation. Charges against him were not made known. The arrest came a day after police arrested former senator Faisal Raza Abidi from his house in New Rizvia Society in the wee hours on Saturday.
