A six year old boy, having burnt with the fall of heavy voltage electricity wire, died on Friday at the Mayo hospital. Abu Bakar, a resident of Harbanspura, became victim of a heavy voltage wire which fell suddenly while he was playing on the rooftop of his house a day earlier. He was taken to hospital immediately but succumbed to injuries within 24 hours.
It may be noted that the incidents of falling down of high voltage wires is on the rise since recent past, taking precious human lives in different areas of the city. The LESCO staff has failed to ensure safety and durability of electricity wires, which have become dangerous due to expiry of their warrantees.
