Institute of Business Management held a welcome ceremony for 43 students from districts of rural Sindh including Badin, Sanghar, Umerkot, Tharparkar and Lasbela who joined the 4-Week Training Program under the IoBM Outreach Program 2016 aimed at inducting them into full-fledged engineering programs at the institute.
IoBM is providing boarding and lodging for 43 students who will be imparted training and education by IoBM faculty at its campus. They will appear in a mock test before appearing for IoBM's aptitude test for Spring Semester 2017. The selected candidates will be inducted in the BE Electrical Engineering with specialisation in Electronics and Telecommunication and in the BS Industrial Engineering and Management program on a 100% scholarship paid by the IoBM.
Shahjehan S. Karim, President and Talib Karim, Rector, Manzoor Hussain Bhutto, the advisor to president and Seema Ansari, head of Electrical Engineering Department attended the ceremony.
Karim briefly informed the students about the Outreach Program and made it clear that candidates would be given admission strictly upon merit. He emphasised on the importance of discipline and honesty in academic and professional life saying that studying at the IoBM would groom the personality of these students and provide them with an academic and professional direction in life.
