The Met Office has said that the smoggy condition in Punjab and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were likely to persist due to the current atmospheric pattern. It said that a shallow westerly wave would produce light to moderate rain in Northeast Punjab and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and snow over mountains to bring a little relief.
