Mahmood Baqi Moulvi has been selected Chairman Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) for the year 2016-17. A meeting of South Zone Group of REAP under the chairmanship of Abdul Rahim Janoo was held on Friday, which was attended by Mohammad Amjad, Rafique Suleman, Abdul Rauf Chappal, Irfan Ahmed Shaikh, Hamdullah Khan Tareen, M Javed Tar Mohammad, M Hussain Khandwala, Anis Majeed, Chela Ram and M Usman Shaikh.
During the meeting, newly unopposed elected Managing Committee Members of REAP unanimously selected Mahmood Baqi Moulvi as REAP's Chairman 2016-17. Mahmood Moulvi is a leading exporter of rice from Pakistan to various countries as well as a prominent businessman and Chairman of M M Group of Companies, Karachi. He will take oath on September 30, at a hotel in Lahore in REAP's Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Meanwhile, Rahim Janoo and Muhammad Rafique Suleman have congratulated Mahmood Moulvi on the unopposed selection as chairman REAP.They hoped the chairman and new team would make all efforts to resolve issues being faced by the rice exporters and traders. "The newly elected chairman and his team from south zone is very energetic and very experienced and hope to perform well," said Rafique Suleman former chairman REAP.
