PTI to particularly focus on smashing debt trap
KARACHI: Pulling country out of the existent debt crisis is among the top priorities of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) said the party chief Imran Khan here Tuesday.
Talking to media persons at Quaid e Azam International Airport, soon after his arrival from Lahore, this evening he said PTI holds a roadmap for addressing the predicament faced by the nation.
PTI chief attributed these to incompetence, corruption, short sightedness and non existent sincerity of purpose.
In reply to a question, PTI chief said water scarcity that has assumed serious proportions should have been taken up much earlier through vision and a pragmatic approach.
"We do have countries around that hold no easy accessibility to water resources yet through sincere and visionary leadership have attained self reliance," he said.
PTI chief coming strong on former government in Punjab said current havoc in Lahore due to few hours rain has exposed the development costing the exchequer no less than Rs. 350 billion in Lahore only.
To a query, he said election scheduled for July 25 will be fought on the basis of ideology.
