SBP 70th anniversary celebrations on July 01

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will celebrate its 70th anniversary on Sunday.

Many activities have been organized to commemorate the achievements and milestones of the bank so far.

On this day, the bank will organized special exhibitions at its museum and open house session at Main Banking Hall that will be opened to public for the whole day.

The ceremony will start at 12:00 (noon), said a statement on Thursday.

The following exhibitions have been arranged at Museum and Art Gallery at SBP headquarters: Commemorative stamp, history of Pakistan's currency, architectural history of SBP Building and technological progress.

The activities in the Main Banking Hall have been divided into the following categories: Commemorative coins and prize bonds, exhibition of currency cycle, showcasing of modern banking practices, awareness on fraud prevention and fun arena.
