LONDON: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here on Saturday afternoon said the health condition of his spouse Begum Kulsoom Nawaz was very critical as she was still placed on a ventilator and other life supporting machines but reiterated to return Pakistan after the recovery of his ailing wife health.

"I was planning to return Pakistan after visiting my ailing spouse Begum Kalsoom Nawaz and my return ticket was also booked but when I came to London, I saw that my wife was in the critical condition and in this situation, I cannot leave my wife, so now decided to return to Pakistan after her recovery from the serious illness", Nawaz Sharif told media outside the Harley Street clinic where his wife was admitted in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in critical condition.

He thanked the Pakistani nation praying for the good health of his wife Begum Kalsoom Nawaz and needed more prayers of the nation for her good health.

"Kalsoom is not out of danger and in a critical condition", Nawaz Sharif remarked.

"I have reached a few days back and since then I have no conversation with her as she is unconscious", he told media.

It may be mentioned here that Begum Kalsoom Nawaz suffered a cardiac arrest a few days back and was shifted to Harley Street Clinic’s intensive care unit and placed on a ventilator (Life support machine). According to hospital sources, doctors were making all their efforts by providing Begum Kulsoom Nawaz best medical treatment.

On Saturday a larger number of political workers and leaders of PML-N, including former Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, former Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, and Nihal Hashmi visited Harley street clinic to inquire about the health of ailing leader Begum Kalsoom Nawaz.
