ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Friday issued an action plan for printing and distribution of the ballot papers to be used in the upcoming general election to all relevant departments.

According to the ECP, copies of the programme have been dispatched to all four provinces’ election commissioners, Pakistan National Security Printing Corporation, Pakistan Post Foundation and Pakistan Printing Corporation Press Islamabad for the purpose.

All provincial election commissioners have been directed to provide complete detail of the number of ballot papers to the departments concerned by June 30, after getting from respective returning officers to ensure timely start of ballot papers printing process.

The ECP has also issued a circular to Pakistan Army, seeking foolproof security during the printing process and distribution of ballot papers.
