Tarbela Dam water level increases to 1,441 feet

According to the Tarbela Dam officials, owing to scorching heat, snow melting also increased and inflow in the Tarbela was considerably raised during last one week.Today, the recorded water level was 1,441 feet where water inflow remained on 167,000 cusec feet and outflow was recorded 100,500 and both were the maximum of the current season.

Thirteen power generation units out of 15 were producing 2,550 megawatts electricity and only two units including T-4 (Unit 1) were shut down.

It was also disclosed that 800 cusec feet water was also released for Pehur High-Level Canal (PHLC) to supply water for some areas of KPK for irrigation.
