People to vote parties on five year performance: Qayyum
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Lt Gen (R) Abdul Qayyum Saturday said people of the country would vote in general elections on the basis of five year performance.
Talking to a private news channel, he said all major political parties including PML-N, PPP and PTI had ruled the provincial governments and the people would judge their performance and vote accordingly.
He said the PML-N had fulfilled major portion of its manifesto of 2013 during five year term.
The Senator said that major challenges which the country was facing before 2013, were resolve by the dynamic PML-N leadership.
Terrorism, law and order situation, energy crisis and economic revival were major issues of the country and these were overcame to maximum extent by the PML-N government, he said.
To a question, Abdul Qayyum said that former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif presented himself for accountability in Panama Papers case but no corruption was proved against him so far.
He said that people were least concerned with Panama issue that was why, the PML-N had won majority of by-election held throughout the country.
