Seven-member caretaker cabinet of Sindh takes oath
Days after the provincial government ended its tenure, Sindh's seven-member caretaker cabinet took oath in a ceremony held on Friday at the Governor House.
Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair administered the oath in Karachi to the cabinet of Sindh's caretaker Chief Minister (CM) Fazalur Rahman.
Speaking to the media after the oath taking ceremony, caretaker CM Rahman said that they will hold free and transparent elections. While speaking about corruption, CM Rahman said that it was the responsibility of the National Accountability Bureau to investigate. He added that during the three months of their tenure, they would investigate any corruption even though it was not the job of a caretaker government.
The seven-member cabinet includes Mushtaq Shah, Dr Sadia Rizvi, Khair Muhammad Junejo, Dr Junaid Shah, Colonel (retd) Dost Muhammad Chandio, Jamil Yousuf, and Simon John Daniel. However, portfolios have not been assigned to the cabinet.
The cabinet will assist the caretaker CM in the upcoming general elections, which are slated for July 25.
