CM asks DCs to convene DDP meetings

PESHAWAR: Due to the number of growing climatic concerns, rising of mercury, melting of glaciers and flash floods in upcoming monsoon, the caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice (Rtd.) Dost Muhammad Khan has asked Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to convene District Disaster Preparedness (DDP) meetings.

He also directed to devise a foolproof plan exploring alternative options and make arrangements to ensure continuation of planned activities relating to general elections 2018.

All the Deputy Commissioner were also asked to ensure that adequate machinery and equipment’s must be available at the disposal of their respective administration to deal with any unwanted situation.

Similarly availability of human resources both technical and non-technical should also be ensured in advance. Furthermore staff working in health institutions should be sensitized to deal any emergency situation.

These directives were communicated to all the deputy commissioners as top priority from the office of Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
