Meanwhile two more ships, Hydroussa and Al-Thakhiras with Palm oil and LNG also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the same period.
A total of ten ships namely, MSC Paris, MSC Candice, Maersk Salina, Yuan Jing, Valadon, Navios Centrarus, JPS Barcelona, Royal Princes, Genaro Levoli and Lion-M are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Canola Seeds, Soya Bean Seeds, Coal, Bitumen, Chemicals and Furnace oil respectively.
Cargo handling registered an upward trend at the Port on Monday, where a cargo volume of 188,657 tonnes, comprising 156,395 tonnes import cargo and 32,262 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 4,040 Containers (TEUs), (2,342 TEUs imports and 1,698 TEUs exports) was handled at the port.
Two ships JPS Barcelona and MSC Candice sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, while three more Ships Lion-M MSC Paris and MSC Candice are expected to sail on same day in the afternoon.
Six ships, MSC AL Ghero, Maersk Memphis, Express Suez, Al- Thakhiras, Hydroussa and Cope Troy carrying Containers, LNG Palm oil and Furnace oil are expected to take berths at QICT, EETL, LCT and FOTCO respectively on Tuesday.
