PM wants appointment of interim set-up with consensus
ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the prime minister on Media Affairs, Dr. Musadik Malik Thursday said that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi wanted to resolve the matter of appointment of interim set-up with consensus.
Talking to a private news channel, he said meetings were being held between the prime minister and the opposition leader in the National Assembly and it was hoped that the matter would be sought out before May 31, which is the last day of the Assembly.
He said, if the matter was not resolved by the Prime Minister and opposition leader, PM Shahid Khaqan wished that the matter should immediately be referred to the parliamentary committee.
To a question, Musadik Malik said that article 242 of the constitution allow the Prime Minister to work even after dissolving the Assembly till the matter get resolved.
